i think i might pay him a visit n tell him you reccomended him. he is just down the road from here by 45 mins it's a dog eat dog world, and I'm wearin MilkBone underwear...
So my friend has been working on a 1932 Ford Roadster for Fred Stoke. The car has been in the works for 3 years. One of my friends worked on the body and paint, and my buddy Chris has worked the interior. He told me it has been some of his best work. Everything was super detailed, super aggressive, and he thought it was a sure winner.
He was up against big name companies. He met Chip Foose, and his interior guy. But because of politics and well, money talks, the car he worked on did not win the show.
According to him, a car that broke the rules of the show won. They were late to the registration, and continued to work even though the rules state you are supposed to have a finished car. When the car was started, it had a misfire and was shut off almost instantly. Paint chipped as they tried to close the doors, because of bad fit. The car cost alot more money, and the display was from last year with a slight update. But some how, it won the show.
Chip Fooses car won best interior. Another car won best paint. MY buddies work won best motor and some kind of achievement award.
For those of you in the Sacramento area, the car will be displayed again. This time, my friend says he is going to win. I think you guys should check it out. When pictures are available, I will post them here.
There are some crappy resolution ones on the net. I will post them for now.
