. i was thinking about getting the game, but all you guys have xbox and not the Ps3... and being that i just bought another Ps3 yesterday , im going to give it to my son for when he is staying at his moms house this means that im going to have to buy 2 copies of every game now... uugh
so for now im going to wait like james till i hear if its worth it or not and continue to kill fools in modern warfare2 now that im finaly getting the hang of how to play im usually staying even in the fights now with 7 kills and 7 deaths is about my average right now..
u guys with the xboxes and that pay to play shizz might want to re-think getting a Ps3 someday, althou i understand it means buying all new games so its a definate $$$$$ purchase but aslo its free to play online so it makes up for itself after a year or so depending on how many games you purchase, lol
also i know xbox offers more titles than Ps3 so theres always that argument, but im pretty happy with the games i play , Dirt2, Need For Speed Shift, Grand Turismo5, Brutal Legend, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Stuntman Ignition, UFC 2009 Undisputed and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare2, those games alone pretty much take up any and all my spare time and then some when im not doing rFactor.
just my 2 cents worth of useless information... . . JØ$Ê _ §WÊ®VÕ . [ image disabled ]
you can get a year of xbox live at newegg or amazon for cheaper than $50 Speed.
I'd rather play my xbox that can go online rather than my PS3 will currently can't because sony f'd up the leap year.
I woulda never bought the PS3 if it wasn't for a) blu-ray b) rockband (as i bought it before the xbox and c) Gran Turismo
If anyone cares, they can add me on xbl as RacerSpencer
ya spencer, sony f'd up and i couldnt go online, or offline for 2 days but its ok now and im back online, i guess sometimes shizz happens... P.S. add me as a friend on Ps3 - JoseSwervo, and we can do so online stuff sometime...
One guy has PS3, so the rest of us should get one as well? I think I am all set.
And Jsoe, I thought GT5 was pushed back another year or two??? I am sure by then we will get Forza4. And for now Forza3 is great.
The only reason I see for getting a PS3 would be to use the blue ray player.
Anyways, back on topic.
I thought the first Battlefield Bad Company was really good. I really liked the off-line play. Online, it was also very good, but I just didn't play it much as my online time had ran out, and didn't have much interest after i beat the game.
I did plan on getting the new game though. I am sure it will be an improvement on the first one. The guns are cool, the different types of weapons are awesome. To me, the best part though, you can get into vehicles and drive them around. It's so cool running down the bad guys with a jeep!
Also, another very cool part of the original was the ability to blow up different structures. Hey, did that enemy run into that building? He sure did, let me just blow that wall up. Hey there he is. Yup, very fun. This makes it harder to hide from enemies. More realistic.
I think by the end of the week, I will go and buy this game.
Also, James. If you have a Costco in your area, they sell online time for pretty cheap. I think it is a a year and one months worth for 30-40$. I know, it is ridiculous to have to play to use online. I am also willing to bet PS3 will be charging soon enough also. But, there are so many other things I waste my money on.
I wonder if my local blockbuster has a copy of the game? Maybe it will be worth to rent it and find out what it has to offer. Although whenever I rent a game, I never have time to play it. Then I end up keeping it for a month. Then they charge for returning it late.
I always play games on the hardest most difficult settings. I really do feel this is how the games are meant to be played. If I am not able to beat it at this level, I am not good enough.
That being said, I am not that far into the game. Really sill on the first main mission. I can tell you a little about what I went through so far.
The game starts out near Japan during WW2. You have to do an extraction of a person. This mission is fairly easy. But it is awesome to shoot those great WW2 weapons. Plus you get to see the use of some secret Japanese hardware.
Then you flash into the future, the present day I guess. You are back with your group again that you fought with in the first game. Now you use modern weapons against some Russian military types. I have not gotten to far so I really don't know in which way the game is going.
The maps that I have been on so far are awesome. The game has that whole "free world" feel. Although you still have to go from point A to point B to solve the missions objective.
One thing I noticed so far that is different from the first game. In the first game you had this injector that would revive you when you got hurt. You had to press a button and you would inject yourself and have full health again. the injector would never run out, and you could revive yourself constantly. I wonder what my stats were from the first game on how many times I revived myself. So far in this game, that doesn't exist. You just heal over time, similar to Call of Duty games. It doesn't take along to get fully revived.
I have not tried the online mode yet.
I can honestly say that once my rental time is up, I will go buy this game. It is really good so far. Really difficult, and I have had to restart from checkpoints quite a few times so far. I will try to go to the local Game Stop or whatever it's called now to try and find a used version. Might as well try to save me five bucks.
I hope maybe some of you get the interest in this game, as I do recommend it.
