LP brought up an issue that I totally forgot about. The width of the front page.
I have no problems seeing the entire width of SR, so I had forgot what a pain it can be to scroll back and forth.
Raising the resolution on your PC is a simple solution, but not everyone has a PC or monitor capable of a higher res configuration.
The main issue with the width is the "Latest Forum Posts" box at the bottom of the main page. I took a quick look at changing the template size, it's not something I really want to mess with. So the alternative is removing it.
So my questions are,
Do you view the "Latest Forum Posts" box or do you go directly to the main forum? I personally use the ""Latest Forum Posts" box almost exclusively. Only go to the main forum to look up older posts.
If you are running at lower res or do not have a wide-screen monitor, is the width an issue for you?
Would you prefer, removing the "Latest Forum Posts" box for a thinner front page? Or does it not bother you, a non issue.
Please everyone chime in, so I can get a good idea what would be best for the majority.

up untill recently when i bought my new 23inch widescreen monitor i had the same issues with scrolling to see the entire page. it sucked and was a pain in the azz. i have also had several people over the past 2 years express thier frustrations of the same manner with the page. at first when i started coming to this site i found it very difficult to find things and was frustrated, but i liked the people here so i stuck it out and found my way. i think maybe its time for a change to better help accomadate the several new people that are visiting the site on a daily basis. im thinking making the site formatted differently like the pits or zmw site as it seems more easy to navigate. i know James and Brooke have spent countless hours, days, weeks, months to make the site what it is today and for that i am totaly thankfull for all thier hard work. so that being said i will be hanging out here with whatever they deceide to do with the site, im good either way wether they change it or it stays the same, and hope the rest of you will too... .
